I’ve seen this question come up a lot lately – What are your favorite Christmas songs?

Do you hear what I hear? #Christmas

I’m a huge Music person.  You can always find me (and Andy for that matter) in the midst of some kind of music, whether it’s in the car, on Pandora, Spotify, or on my iPod, or just playing in the house.

Right now, the playlist of choice – Christmas Favorties.

Here are a few of my favorite songs during Christmas time!

All Time, Always Number One Song

O Holy Night – Favorite Version has to be Mariah Carey (this week, anyway) I think of Christina when I hear/sing this one – Every. single. time. <3

My Top Christmas Song Picks

Mary, Did you Know?Pentatonix (a capella is awesome)  Without a doubt, one of the hottest songs of 2014.  Anything by this group is fantastic.

Christmas Eve/SarajevoTrans-Siberian Orchestra (no doubt! – faf, fab, fab video, too!)

Drummer BoyJars of Clay (all of their Christmas music is awesome!) I love to harmonize to this song.  I wish it were longer!

God Rest Ye Merry GentlemenBare Naked Ladies and Sarah McLachlan (soo fun!) Love to harmonize to this one, too, as I’m singing around the house! (I’m sure the band name will be picked up by Google and bring a whole different bunch of people to my site! Oops!)

Do You Hear What I HearWhitney Houston (one of top, top picks!)  I love the dynamic and strength of this song.  It speaks to me!

Favorite Christmas Album

When I was about 7 years old, my mom took me to the dentist one day, and as I opened the car door and stepped out, I saw a cassette tape on the ground.  It was white with blue lettering, and it was a bit dirty.  I picked it up, stuck it in my pocket, and went on about my business.  Later that evening, when I got home, I ran to my room, took whatever book-on-cassette tape was in the deck out (you know, the ones that say “you’ll know when it’s time to turn the page, when you hear the chimes ring like this…….  yeah, that.), and put in my new tape.

My love of Christmas Music began at that moment.

The Oak Ridge Boys Christmas – 1982 I have to say that I like all of the songs on this album.  I think I’m going to go ahead and purchase these MP3s so that I can have them any time I want them.  I ended up losing the cassette after I was an adult, and careless!
