Taylor Nursing ScrubsYou might be wondering why I would want to review nursing scrubs!  The answer is simple!  As  a labor doula, when I’m working in hospitals with moms in labor, I not only want to be comfortable and fashionable at an affordable price, but I also do not want to mess up my personal wardrobe, in the event things get messy (and they always tend to get messy when you’re talking about labor and birth!).

Most of the hospitals in the area have their nurses wear matching, standard issue scrub tops and pants, so I have been on the lookout for scrubs that do not look so cookie cutter so that I’m not viewed as a nurse or hospital employee.

The style I chose is the Gripper Scrub Top in the Baby Hearts Red pattern.  These are the perfect, non-traditional scrub tops for under $15!

This is a very cute print and extremely practical scrub top.  I really like the v-neck snap down front, because it’s not binding at all.  With non-stretch tops, I like having v-necks because they feel very roomy, especially while you’re moving around assisting someone in labor.

Taylor Nursing Scrubs poplin fabric wash very well, and they do not shrink or draw up.  The only downside to this top, for me, is that it doesn’t fit as long as it shows in the photo.  I’m not sure if it’s because the photo shows a smaller woman or not, but the Gripper Scrub Top actually fell right at the top of my hip.  I tend to like them a little longer, however, this is still a great, comfortable, and functional top for the purpose I need it to serve.

Aside from the product, I’m a huge fan of good customer service. To me, good customers service goes a LONG way!  Laurie Taylor, from Taylor Scrubs was wonderful via email!  She helped me with the questions I had, in a timely manner, even though it was during the Thanksgiving Holiday, and I’m happy to say that I am very impressed with the product and company overall!
