The Enchanted Tree – Rainbow Ice Lanterns
I have an awesome online friend that I’ve never met in person, but I’ve known her through the internet for several years. She is the most talented and creative person I think I know! Her name is Tree, and her blog is The Enchanted Tree.
Recently, she posted a “how to” on her blog about Rainbow Ice Lanterns.
If you live somewhere where the winters get below 50 degrees (haha, ok, 32), or you have a freezer with enough room to hold this project, you should check out this amazingly beautiful and easy project to do with your kiddos!

Rainbow Ice Lanterns
These are very easy to make, but you will need a bit of patience. To make the ice lanterns you need a plastic container for your lantern. We used large yogurt/cottage cheese containers. A tin can, or smaller container that fits inside the main container. A bit of food coloring, water and a few rocks to put inside the tin can.
