We’re having a baby! Again.
The cat is now out of the bag, and everyone knows! We’re pregnant! Yes, we are 10 weeks pregnant today.
Seems like it’s going to be forever until this little one gets here. We all know.. that’s not true. Four and a half years ago, I was thinking the same about Hawkster, and he’s now 4. Where does the time go, really? Truth be told, Kylie turned 12 yesterday, and I think I remember thinking the same when I was pregnant with her!
This little one is due October 4th. Here’s some things you may or may not want to know about this pregnancy.
The first thing I did was choose a doula. Debbie Hull is a fabulous woman! I contacted her the day after I got a positive (4 weeks haha), and she reminded me that I was only 5 minutes pregnant, and YES, she is open in October. She’s highly sought after, so I needed to make sure I let her know asap!
We’ve already contacted our Midwife. I’ve already had one appointment with her, and we will have another in April. She’s excited that we’re a repeat. Hawk was baby number 14 or 17 when she opened up, and it was a great experience, so we’re going to go the same route this time.
We are not finding out the gender of this baby. *Insert record scratch* Yes, for most people, that’s unfathomable. This will be our 4th. We’re cool with not knowing. We’re fine with that.
We will not name this baby Condor. Hawk was named after the Christian band Hawk Nelson. Andy made a comment that we’ll need to find another band to name this one after, right after my mom requested that we do not name this one Condor. I get it. I was thinking something more like Talon. Although, Kylie has a whole list of names picked out.
Kylie wants a sister. Obviously.
Hawk wants a brother. Obviously.
Braxton wants a brother, but only if it’s not like Hawk.
I’ve already made 5 diapers and a gown. Yeah, I know, I don’t need diapers. I have the world of diapers at my fingertips. I guess I just want to contribute something!
So, there you have it! We think our schedules are chaotic right now. Just wait 5 years when we have FOUR in baseball/softball. Oh, and Andy’s already pointed out that Kylie will be his age by the time this one graduates from high school.
Congratulations! I gave birth to baby #7 (naturally) last September. When she starts school, my kids will probably be in K, 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, and 12th grades. That’s three graduations in the same year (K, 6, 12). Lol.
For almost all of my pregnancies we did not learn the sex of our baby. We only learned on the last two. That drove my mom nuts! Good luck and I pray you have a safe and healthy pregnancy, labor, and delivery.
Hello 🙂 I was entering your giveaway and came across this post. I’m 10 weeks pregnant today with my first and due on October 5th, 1 day after you. How cool is that?! 🙂 I have been saying the same things.. that it’s going by soooo slowly and it feels like the baby will never be get here haha.
You know how happy I am for you…. and I SWEAR I never told a living soul after you told me.
I am so glad that you got the doula and midwife that you wanted, it is important that you are comfortable with this baby.
I cannot wait to see how you do and how your new baby looks. I am sure he/she will be absolutly adorable, just like you other beautiful children. 🙂
