Natural Butter and Body Lotion for Happy, Healthy Skin
From the moment Jett was born, I only wanted to use natural, safe products for his skin.
When packing our bags for the birthing center, I made sure I grabbed my jar of coconut oil, not only for myself, but to use on the baby’s bottom before putting his first diaper on (it helps keep the meconium from sticking!). Kylie wanted to be the one to put his first diaper and outfit on, so before she did, she slathered his bottom with coconut oil.
Since then, we’ve used nothing but natural body lotion and oils on Jett (and the rest of us). We only want what’s best for his skin.
We’ve noticed that anytime Kylie sprays perfume or she uses perfume scented lotions with artificial oils, his skin flares up and he gets very irritable. All of his body washes and lotions are made from natural ingredients, and we even use natural cloth diapers and cloth wipes with plain water on his skin to avoid irritation.
Using natural products creams and butter is fantastic, because they’re not only safe for your baby’s skin (with the exception of allergies), but many of them have great beneficial healing properties as well.
Shea Butter is a moisturizing anti-inflammatory that is actually one of my favorite healing butters. I’m excited to try a new (to us) line of french beauty products made with West African Shea Butter.
Cocoa Butter is a moisturizing antiseptic, Coconut Oil is antiviral, antifungal, and anti-yeast, and Olive Oil is an antioxident with antibacterial properties.
The next time you’re in the market for lotions and butters, try out these great natural products for your skin!
I always love to have healthy skin. Getting healthy skin is a bit difficult and sometimes costly. Skin vitamins and chemical peels maybe necessary to maintain it. *”:,;
