The Great Deflation: Week 3 – Excuses and Illness – #fitness #weightloss
It was still a rough week. Kylie was home sick for the entire week last week. After she got over hers, Jett decided to get sick, too. On top of all that, I still have this boob problem. One of my best doula (almost midwife) friends said that it’s a case study. It’s like thrush, but we’re not sure it’s thrush. I have recurring plugged ducts, and I have this burning sensation on the left side – like I touched it with an iron. It feels like a real burn. You know how you burn your finger, and you run it under cold water, then take away the cold water? That feeling.
I haven’t been able to do any kind of physical activity. Boob pain has got to rank up there with the aches and pains of the last days of pregnancy and labor. You can’t NOT focus on it. You can’t jump up and down, you can run, you can’t walk fast, and it’s very hard to hold or wear a baby.
I tried to do some Leslie Sansone yesterday….. nixed. If I put on tight fitting boob support, it hurts. If I don’t make it tight fitting, they bounce, and it hurts.
I got this new Fitbug, and I haven’t even wanted to plug the poor thing in. I think it’s going to say “GET OFF YOUR REAR”. Not sure if it allots for boob problems.
ex·cuse – n. (k-skys)
This week, Andy lost just shy of two pounds, so I’m going to round it up to 2. I GAINED three pounds, so no money in the pot for me. I’m ok with gaining. It happens. I have no one to answer to but myself. I have no pressure from anyone, so I’m ok with it, and to me, that’s very important. Accept it, make changes, move on.
I won’t be throwing any money in the pot this week (we’re not deducting, only adding), and Andy will be throwing in 2 bucks. I need to kick it in gear, because if not, this is going to be a measly jackpot.
Grand total:
Andy Lost 8 lbs
Lisa Lost 9 lbs
Because we started with $50 in the Great Deflation Pot, that brings our total so far to — $69!!
That’s awesome! Congratulations!
