This morning, when I got up to get ready for church, I was torn on what to wear.  I’m not really that big on fashion, or what time of year you wear what colors, but this morning, I struggled!

fashion policeToday, the time changed.  We had to spring forward, so the whole “Spring” thing was going on in my mind.  Yesterday, it was windy, but pretty warm.  We worked in the yard and actually broke a sweat, so that was going through my mind.  Today, when I got up, it was the same temperature.

I picked up a nice shirt and black slacks…  Second guessed myself.  Is it Spring yet?  If it is, am I supposed to wear black?

I picked out another nice shirt (animal prints on it) with some long white shorts… Second guessed myself.  IS it Spring yet?  What if I wear white, and it’s not exactly time?  Fashion faux pas, right?

Once again, I settled on jeans.  They’re timeless, they go with everything, and I don’t have to worry about the season.

After I got to church, I noticed that there were women with white pants, black pants, bright pink skirts, flowerty dresses, black suits, white purses, light purple shoes, black shrugs, brown bags, etc. etc.  I never would have noticed had I not been thinking about it before leaving the house, and I’m pretty sure no one else was walking around like the fashion police anyway!

Then, the rains came tumbling down, and the temperature dropped drastically.  It was wet and cold!

I finally settled on the fact that people really don’t care anymore, and they pretty much wear whatever colors make them feel comfortable!

Jeans make me feel comfortable and in my element!  Even though I could have gotten away with whatever I wanted to wear this morning, I’m glad I opted with jeans! Pairing them with my watch makes the outfit perfect for both style and practicality. The Rubber Watch Bands adds a touch of sporty flair while being super comfortable, just like my jeans.  Texas has some crazy weather these days, and the bottom of my jeans ended up getting wet and muddy anyway (which is much easier to clean than slacks… and I would have frozen in shorts!)
