LISTERINE 21 Day Challenge for Better Oral Health – We did it! | #listerine
We did it! We completed the Listerine 21 Day Challenge – and we loved it! As a matter of fact, we completed 21 days, and didn’t even realize it!
When I first started the Challenge, I have to admit that I never really had more than a brush-my-teeth kind of routine. I don’t know if it’s that I was just lazy about it, or if I didn’t want to mess with it, but I would occasionally floss or swish with mouthwash if I’d just happened to see it sitting there. I never went out of my way to make sure I had healthy oral cleaning habits.
As parents, we really do lead by example for our kiddos. Now that I’ve been taking the 21 Day Challenge, I’ve noticed that not only am I brushing, flossing, and swishing twice a day (and sometimes more after those particularly oniony or garlicy meals!), but my busband and my kiddos are following suit as well.
The boys are now brushing their teeth twice a day with their lightsaber toothbrushes that have a light that lets them know how long to brush, and they think it’s fun to use little floss picks and mouthwash after brushing.
I’ve said ti before, and I’ll say it again. The LISTERINE 21 Day Challenge is totally simple!
Rinse with any Listerine therapeutic mouth wash twice a day for 30 seconds for 21 days.
Now that I’ve been doing this challenge for more than 21 days, I’ve noticed that not only has it become a habit for me to pay a little more attention to my mouth, but I’ve also noticed the following changes that I was told I’d notice after using Listerine Antiseptic twice a day:
- Reduced Swelling (which means SO much less sensitivity!)
- Gums no longer bleed when I brush or floss
- Mouth feels fresher and cleaner, for longer!
I really like the Listerine Ultraclean Mouthwash. It has a bit of a bite, so at first, I wasn’t able to swish for the full 30 seconds, because it just seemed to burn like crazy, but each day, I added a little more time, and I was finally able to rinse for the full 30 seconds after about a week and a half.
My daughter likes the on-the-go Listerine Pocketpacks, because she thinks it’s pretty cool to freshen her breath after lunch, but I really like them for her, because they kill 99% of bad breath germs while she’s at school and unable to brush!
My boys like the Listerine Smart Rinse for kids, well, because they’re boys, and they just like spitting!
I’m really thankful that I was introduced to the Listerine 21 Day Challenge, because even though I knew oral health care was important, it never really dawned on me to actually make it a habit and not a chore to take care of our mouths. Thank you, Listerine.

Way to go on completing the challenge!
I took the challenge too and have noticed wonderful results! That’s great that your daughter can take the pocket packs to school with her to have fresh breath after lunch.
Haha. We did this last year and my son loved it. Because he was allowed to spit. What is not to like? Thankfully he still uses it everyday.
My sons love the spitting too!
