Little Monsters One Size Pocket Diapers Review & Giveaway (5/17) #clothdiapers

I’m always on the lookout for new diapers to share with my readers as well as my local cloth diapering group, so when I was given the opportunity to try a Little Monsters One Size Pocket Diaper, I didn’t think twice.  Little Monsters are pocket diapers with adorable appliqued/embroidered animals on the bottom!

About Little Monsters:

Little ones are known to make mighty messes, but with this reusable pocket diaper, cleanup can be eco-friendly, affordable and not to mention incredibly cute! Leak-proof and unquestionably durable, this diaper features a laminated shell and cozy soft interior. Multiple rows of snaps allow the diaper to easily adjust and grow along with Baby. The included triple-layered microfiber insert easily slips into the pocket of the diaper cover and when soiled can be tossed in the wash along with the diaper.

Aside from the fact that this diapers is oh-so-absolutely-adorable, Jett and I love the way this diaper fits him.

Fit

• Lots of stretch!  Jett is a big ol’ baby (as my nephew says), and I like the way the PUL is soft and stretch to get a great, long lasting fit.
• Great snap options!  I love that it’s not just one snap so that it keeps the tabs straight and they don’t curl up.
• Hip snaps!  Yes, yes, YES!  No wing droop, and I love it!
• Snug leg fit! Because there are two snaps, we get a great, snug leg fit with this diaper.
• Fits most babies from 9-35 lbs

Function

• Stay Dry Fleece:  The inner on Little Monsters diapers is fleece so my little one stays dry!
• Soft Stretchy PUL:  I’ve mention that the PUL is stretchy, but it’s also soft, which makes it a more trim diaper.
• Microfiber Insert:  This diaper comes with a microfiber insert.  I’m not a fan of microfiber inserts, so I just replace it with a flat or prefold and it’s great!

Durability

Since receiving the Little Monsters diaper, Jett has worn it numerous times, which means it’s been washed plenty of times to notice any immediate issues.

• Wash Routine: Cold Rinse.  Warm Wash. Cold Rinse
• Dry Routine:  I dried it once on a warm setting to make sure  the PUL sealed around the stitching, and after that I just hang it up in the laundry room or the house somewhere to try.  It doesn’t take very long to dry!
• Wear and Tear:  Jett has worn this diaper inside the house, under shorts, outside in the mud, to the park, down the slide, and in many other scenarios.  We’ve not noticed any breakdown of the polyester OR the applique/embroidery.  It still looks just as good as the day we received it.

Versatility

• Pocket Diaper:  Obviously this is a pocket diaper.  Where the versatile part of that comes in is when you choose what you want to stuff it with!   add as little or as much absorbency as you need.
• Cover:  Even though this diaper is actually a pocket, it is soft and trim enough that you can actually use it as a cover if you’d like.  I plan on using it as a cover in May’s Flats and Handwashing Challenge!  All you do is put it over a flat, prefold, or fitted diaper, to make a complete, waterproof diaper, just like you would a cover!
• Swim Diaper (non-chlorine):  Need a swim diaper for your small kiddie pool in your back yard?  This is a great diaper for that!  The reason I say non-chlorine is because you don’t want to risk delaminating or breaking down the PUL to make it less waterproof when you use it as a diaper.
• More than one Kiddo:  Of course, you can pass it down to your next kiddo or a friend’s kiddo.

Final Verdict

I would buy more of these diapers.  Actually, I already have my eye on the giraffe diaper!
