First Day of High School
Have I told you, lately, that I have a seriously beautiful daughter? I don’t think I’m being biased, either! Well, I think I might be a bit, but I’m so proud of her. I think all parents will get me here!
This is Kylie on her first day of school. Like all the other kids in the Freshman class, she was really nervous, but she said it went well with the help of a guest that went to their school such as a motivational speaker for high schools, and I think the second day was easier to swallow!
She made a few friends already along the way even if she’s a bit shy. They approached her first, and I’m glad that she has a circle that she can eat with at lunch in their school cafeteria. It’s a bit hard to find a clique on the first day, since I’ve been through that as well!
By the way, did I mention she made Varsity Choir as a freshman, too?! 🙂 She told me that the auditions started as early as the first week and she made the cut. In total, there were 50 students that auditioned and only 10 of them passed. Isn’t that crazy?
I am incredibly proud as her mom as she’s already achieving so much in a day! I’m looking forward to more of her stories as she survives as a highschool freshman. Hoping this means a good start and it will continue until the end of the school year.
