PREMAMA® Essentials Prenatal Drink Mix Review & Giveaway (11/7) | #pregnancy
As a doula, one of the most common early pregnancy complaints that I hear (aside of just being flat out tired all the time) is that moms hate taking prenatal vitamins because they make them sick in some form or fashion. Whether it’s heightened morning sickness or constipation, sometimes, prenatal vitamins seem like they’re doing more harm than good, and many pregnant women just stop taking them – which is simple unacceptable. On the flip side, nursing moms usually drop the prenatal vitamins after the baby is born, but they’re so important to help establish a healthy breastmilk supply.
(Side bar before we go any further – Dear Mom, I take this vitamin drink because of breastfeeding. I am NOT pregnant.)
I’m excited to introduce a pretty awesome product that not only allows you to get your daily prenatal vitamins in without having to swallow a pill or two, but they also help you feel better!

PREMAMA® Essentials does not contain gluten, eggs, fish, milk, nuts, shellfish, soy, sulfites, tree nut, or wheat, so it is great for moms with food and alergen sensitivities. It’s 100% vegetarian and GMO-free. PREMAMA does not contain artificial coloring or additives.
Just remember that even though it’s a taste-less formula it does have the essence of vitamins when you drink it in plain water. The coloration of your water will be tinted greenish-yellow, but it’s not bitter. Make sure you mix it with plenty of water so that it goes down more smoothly. You can also mix it with your daily glass of milk or even juice if your midwife or OB has not restricted your sugar intake. I like to add a little lemon juice.
The nausea they triggered – ick! I couldn’t keep them down.
The hardest part of taking my prenatal (I’m breastfeeding & TTC) is not really swallowing it, but the taste of it when I burp, lol. It often makes me feel like gagging! I’d love to try Premama. never heard of it until now, I think it may be something I’ll look into purchasing, thanks!
This looks like a good thing for expectant and new mamas to know about.
swallowing them.
Remembering to take them =)
I think the hardest part about taking prenatal vitamins is having to swallow the big horse pills. 2nd is remembering to take them.
Remembering to actually take the pills (and when I do, getting them down my throat!)
The pills are HUGE. Not fun to take
The hardest part is that they are so big and when you try to swallow you feel like they are stuck in your throat.
The hardest part is remembering to take them
i just have a hard time getting in the routine, one i get into the habit it’s not bad.
The hardest parts were remembering to take them and sometimes keeping them down.
I have a hard time swallowing them…they are too big
