Karibu Cushion Step Potty Review | Independent Potty Learning at it’s finest!
My baby is not a baby anymore. He’s two years and three months old, and he’s ready to start using the potty.
*Pause for uncontrollable sobbing.*
I’ve been dreading this time of his life, because I’m not a fan of those little toilet seats that you carry around from room to room and let them use. The clean up is less than fun, and I just hate the idea of having a toilet follow you around in every room! They’re just gross, and I’m too lazy for all that jazz.
We’re all about child lead potty learning. Jett’s shown a little interest so we’ve tried to put him on the toilet and he tenses up terrified that he’s going to fall in. The last thing we want for him is to be scared of using the toilet, because that just prolongs learning for him.
Karibu Cushion Step Potty Review
I was so excited to find that Getty Products carries the Karibu Cushion Step Potty. Don’t let the name fool you, because it’s really not a potty at all. It’s a little step ladder and smaller toilet seat that fits on top of your existing toilet. When it’s not in use, it folds up nicely to fit in the corner. This thing is fantastic. We love it.
The Karibu Potty Seat with Step Ladder allows children to be independent while potty training. The potty seat with step ladder is easy to use and features feet grips and handles for safety and can be used directly with the family toilet. The whole unit is adjustable to three different heights to suit your child’s age and folds away easily into storage after each use.
What I really like about this potty seat is that Jett is so comfortable using it. He not only asks to use it, but last night, he kept yelling “potty, potty” and Andy went into the master bathroom, and Jett had pulled it out of the corner, put it on the toilet, climbed up and got comfortable. When he saw daddy, he asked for a book!
I like how we can just fold it up and stick it in the corner behind the toilet. This makes it easy for us to still have our “grown up” bathroom, but gives Jett the freedom to run in and put it on the toilet at any time. It’s very lightweight, and even though we were putting it on for him to use, after he surprised us and showed us how smart he is, we no longer have to. This is definitely a great investment for (lazy – hehe) mamas of independent kiddos – especially if you’re on number four!
Getty Products carries bathtime, feeding, toilet training and safety products, so make sure you connect with them on the Getty Products Facebook Page and check out their site! Their website is extremely easy to navigate, and the products are superb!
