Skinny Limits Juice Cleanse Review – Three Day Cleanse | #juicing #juice
I’m so excited to be able to share my experience with the Skinny Limits 3 Day Juice Cleanse! This Austin, Texas based company is dedicated to bringing the nutritious juicing options to families everywhere. You’ll find out how I felt each day, and the outcome of the cleanse! I would highly recommend this cleanse if you’re looking for a great way to detox and kickstart a healthy eating lifestyle.
I’ve come to realize that starting this Skinny Limits Juice Cleanse so soon after a couple of months worth of bad eating holidays probably wasn’t the smartest thing for me to do, especially since I didn’t try to wean myself at all in the days prior to starting, but I’m so thankful I did.
Day 1 of Skinny Limits 3 Day Juice Cleanse
7:40 am – Ran some hot water through my Keurig and squeeze some fresh lemon for my water. Gave me the feeling of coffee anyway! Feeling pretty good about this. Let’s do it.
8:00 am – The kiddos have left the house, and it’s about time to walk Jett to the sitter. I’m hungry, but I went ahead and grabbed my first bottle of Pure & Simple, read the ingredients to the hubs, and started chugging. The first taste was a shocker, but after that, I thought it was pretty good! 16 ounces, no problem.
8:25 am – Headache has set in.
10:00 am – I’m trying to get some work done, and I’m feeling sleepy and weak. I can’t really concentrate on much. BEGGING for 11:00am so I can drink the next bottle. I just want to lay down and sleep… and eat my pillow.
10:30 am – I’m beginning to second guess waiting the full three hours between bottles.
11:00 am – My phone just went off. Very much thankful for my bottle of Balance. Decided to tell my phone to remind me to drink my juice in 2.5 hours rather than 3 this time! By the end of the bottle, I feel completely rejuvenated, but the headache is still lingering.
11:23 am – The headache has pretty much subsided.
12:45 pm – The headache came back for a bit but it’s gone away now. I’ve been drinking lots of water, and it’s helped me not be hungry this time.
1:30 pm – Time for another Pure & Simple. I’m feeling pretty normal, just a little hungry, and maybe a little sleepy. Should stay off Pinterest and foodie blogs.
2:45 – All I want to do is go to eat and go to sleep. I’m pretty tired, but I’m not all that weak, which is what I expected. Ready for another bottle of juice.
3:45 – Glad I decided not to wait until 4:30. I’m not sure I can wait that long.
4:00 pm – Nothing could have prepared me for the Scorpion Lemonade!! I like it, in small doses, but because the instructions say to finish each bottle within five minutes, I’m struggling! This lemonade has BITE, and very little sweetener! Ouch.
5:00 – Heartburn. I’ll live. Not as hungry. Thought I would be “going to the bathroom” all day and not just to pee – but I’m not (except to pee). This is a good thing, but I understand it’s not the norm for most people. My body is using all of the vitamins and minerals from the juice!
6:15 – Starving and ready to eat or drink another bottle. Stupid me made chicken and dumplings for the rest of the family today, and they’re eating it while I’m about to drink another bottle. Tomorrow, they starve eat out. I found that hot herbal tea helped with the hunger cravings though. I’ll do more of that tomorrow.
6:30 – Here’s to another welcomed bottle of Pure and Simple, but I wish there was more of a variety. Drinking this three times a day is going to get old!
7:45 – I’m ready to go to bed. I want nothing more than to sleep at this point. Food isn’t even crossing my mind, I’m so tired. I read another blog post about the last bottle, and I can’t wait. It’s supposed to be good!
8:30 – Drinking this bottle of Crescent Moon and savoring it a little earlier than the 2.5-3 hours, because I’m supposed to drink it at least 2 hours before bed. It is DELICIOUS!! I could live off of this stuff alone and live happily ever after! This is the only bottle that I can’t let the hubby taste because it’s full of raw cashews, and he’s allergic to raw nuts. Not really crying over not having to share this one. I love it. I want more.
10:15 – In bed and not hungry at all. I hope I sleep good tonight! A little worried about that because of not having any food. We’ll see.
Day 2 and 3 of the Skinny Limits Juice Cleanse were surprisingly easier as far as huger goes. I was shocked to find that I slept pretty well (aside from having to get up to pee every two hours like I did when I was pregnant!! — don’t miss that!), and I did not wake up hungry at all. I would also emphasize that their company really uses the best cold press juicers in order to achieve the results they expect for their product.
I went about Days 2 and 3 without being hungry or tired, but I also had several cups of Acai Berry Herbal Tea. It was business as usual except that I would drink my food rather than eat it!
My observations:
Day 1
I was more hungry and tired than anything. The juices were new and cool, and I welcomed every bottle.
Day 2
I wasn’t really hungry or tired, and I went about my day like any other day. I welcomed the first three bottles. The lemonade was harder to get through on day two, and the Crescent Moon was still my favorite.
I posted a pic on Instagram of the Scorpion Lemonade Bottle, and I got this reply.
Day 3
This was more of a day of dread. I was 2/3 finished, and I didn’t look forward to drinking the same bottles of juice that I did the previous two days with the exception of the Crescent Moon. I had to take myself into drinking the Pure and Simple each time because I was so tired of the same flavor.
Final Outcome
I’ve decided that I would love to do a 1 Day Juice Cleanse occasionally, but I don’t know that I can do the three day again. The good news is that I LOST EIGHT POUNDS on the cleanse, and I have a new appreciation for juicing!
All of the symptoms that I experienced were normal because I’m out of shape and very overweight. I also drink a lot of coffee, and that was a no-go during the cleanse. I experienced headaches, a few breakouts, and just overall fatigue, but that means that the cleanse was working on my body, and it showed in the end.
I’m thankful that I did the Skinny Limits 3 Day Juice Cleanse!
