5 Winter Activities to Keep Toddlers Busy | #kids #winter
Winter can be tough for both toddlers and parents, but with an arsenal of activities up your sleeve, you won’t be worn out because they’ll be too busy creating to destroy the house and your patience!
DIY frozen balloons – This fun winter activity is the perfect science experiment to do with the kidlets. First, add food coloring to water ballons, then fill with water and place outside in the snow until frozen. When they’re hard, peel off the balloon and viola you now have frozen ice that looks like a marble.
Make snow flakes- Teach kidlets how to cut out snowflakes (using safety scissors of course) and decorate the finished products with gliter. Hang them in your front windows to create a wintery display!
Paint with “snow”- You can easily create snow paint by mixing a cup of salt, a cup of water, and a cup of flour together. Kids can have fun painting with it on construction paper.
Paint the snow- Fill spray bottles with water and food coloring and let your kids go crazy creating rainbows and colored snow men on your front lawn!
Create cookie cutter art- Put washable paints on paper plates, give your toddler some construction paper and let them choose from a few cookie cutters to paint with. Simply show them how to dip the cookie cutters into the paint and let them have at it! Fingers will get messy, but so long as you use washable paints, you’re good.
