Hawk’s DisneySide Party | #DisneySide #HawksDisneySide
Disney sent us a box of goodies via MomSelect and Disney Parks in order to throw our 2nd annual DisneySide party!
Leading up to our DisneySide party, we were trying to figure out how we would incorporate all of our fun Mickey and Minnie related products into The Entertainer’s 8th birthday party!
We knew we wanted to do something that revolved around Big Hero 6, but we also knew that there weren’t many party favors or props related to the brand new movie, either. So, we decided to do a mix of all different types of fun Disney Movies!
Disney sent us a box of goodies via MomSelect and Disney Parks in order to throw our 2nd annual DisneySide party! All opinions are our own. If you’d like to show your own DisneySide, the DisneySide website has a lot of great ideas.
Once the invites were sent out, we planned and waited!
We were excited to see all of the RSVPS early on, so we prepared for a pretty big party. We have a small house, so we didn’t quite realize just how full the house would be!
We had 42 guests at Hawk’s DisneySide Party from ages 8 months to 84 years!
I don’t think I can say we’ve ever thrown a party of that size!
We served hamburgers, hotdogs, potato salad, cole slaw, chips, drinks, and TWO cakes!
For half of the hamburgers, the hubby added the most awesome Soy Vay Veri Veri Teriyaki Sauce to the meat. It was a party favorite!
There are two people I’d like to thank for helping to make our party a success during and after our DisneySide Fun! Matt Fleisher took many of our photos during the party, and my mother in law did the cakes. THANK YOU SO MUCH!
Of course, my mother in law is the best cake maker in the history of ever. She’s such a blessing to our family for many reason, and one of them happens to be that she makes all of our cakes for allllll of our birthdays. She’s pretty awesome.
First, she took the awesome Tie Dye cake mix from celebrity baker Duff Goldman by Gartner Studios and added her own flair to it. Then she put it in the Mickey Mouse Wilton cake pan. Then she did her magic and decorated it! We cut the Mickey cake pretty early on because some guests had to leave early, and sadly, I did not get any! But, everyone loved it!
Then, to keep with our Big Hero 6 addition, she made a cake for The Entertainer and made it his own by putting Big Hero 8! Pretty genius. It was fantastic!!!
After cake, the kiddos played outside, and inside, and outside again, and The Entertainer REALLY wanted to play the “Pin the Smile on Mickey Game”. This was a really cute game that the kiddos loved.
I was so thankful for the help of some of my very best friends at this party (some not pictured)! Everything went smoothly, and it was a great time of fellowship! (Photo overload below! If I missed your photo, please be sure to let me know so that I can add it!)
One of the highlights of any party is the photo booth rental! We had a fantastic time with ours and were especially grateful to our local party store, BH Party On, for providing us with an amazing blow-up Mickey and Minnie set. It truly completed our photo booth experience!
Even my grandparents were good sports again this year! This is a great look for Papaw! He had hip replacement surgery a few weeks prior to the party, and we were so excited that he was able to make it. It was his first outing since the surgery, and he had a great time!
Because this was a “multi-generational party” as you can tell by the photos, we were provided with Twinings Tea! The moms were pretty excited to take home some samples in their adult goody bags!
Thank you to everyone who came and celebrated Hawk’s Disney Side with us, and we look forward to celebrating again next year! THANK YOU DISNEY! Thank you to all of the contributors of our DisneySide Party Pack including HP for sending the CMYK Pack that went home in our adult goody bags as well as ALL Detergent and Wisk! We had a great time!
We’re all excited to plan a Disney trip now! If you’re looking for a Magical Disney Vacation check out these Disney Parks & Destinations!
Disclosure: I received free products in order to host a Disney Side @Home Celebration. The opinions expressed here are my own.
Hi! That good everyone got in to it. But could you have this for any party. Like a movie night? If so I would like to do that.
