The Best of Me now on Netflix | #StreamTeam
I’ve got to tell you about a movie I recently watched on Netflix. It just became available for streaming last month, and I was having an off day, so I decided to find something and just lay in bed and watch it while the boys were away for the day (shhhh don’t tell anyone!).
I ran across a movie called The Best of Me. It came out in October 2014, and it’s a Romance/Drama. I noticed that it had James Marsden (eeek! Cyclops) in it, so I just had to watch it. It was one of the best movies I’ve seen in a while. Basically, former high school sweet hearts are brought back home to read the will make final arrangements and of a man (Gerald McRaney , Simon & Simon, Jericho) who practically raised the male lead character when they take a stroll down memory lane. They both know they’re still in love with each other.
I’m not a big fan of movies jumping timelines, but this one was perfectly orchestrated, and even though the ending almost seemed predictable, I was blown away by the twist (that ended up being the predictable part without even knowing it!) at the end of the movie. I’m not big on giving out spoilers, so I’ll let you watch it and find out for yourself.
It’s a chick flick, so the emotions in the movie were all over the place. Be ready to laugh, be angry, want to help, cry, and any other feelings you can muster. Great movie.
