Safety Reminders for July 4th Events | #july4 #independenceday #summer
Happy Independence Day!
We hope you have a safe and happy 4th of July! Make sure, you remember some of these safety tips while you’re out and about with your family today! Check out these July 4th Safety Reminders!
1.Don’t forget the sunscreen and bug repellent! Fireworks are the only thing that burn! Protect your little ones (and yourself) from the sun and bugs, today.
2. Keep hydrated. It’s going to be hot, so make sure you have plenty of water for the entire family. Make sure you remind the kids to drink plenty of water, also – that includes babies (who have been introduced to water).
3. Watch your BBQ pits, fire rings, and bonfires! Make sure you don’t dump you coals somewhere dry OR make sure you flood them with water until there’s no more burning or hot coals or embers. Don’t just walk away from them and assume! DON’T COVER WITH SAND! Today is a barefoot day – you don’t want someone to get hurt!
4. If you’re in a particularly dry area, don’t flick your cigarette out the window. Or just don’t smoke. No elaboration needed – on either points! You should also install fire sprinkler systems and alarms to improve your home’s fire safety. Make sure that you have professionals perform fire hydrant and sprinkler inspections regularly so that you’ll be sure that they work if you find yourself needing them.
5. Keep your pets inside with a familiar blanket with the TV on. Fireworks are very scary for pets, and your dogs will run away! Keep them safe and comfortable inside with the noise of the TV to drown out fireworks.
