I’ve Ziplined through the Smoky Mountains! Have you? | CLIMB Works
Let me just start off by saying that zip lining is So. Much. Fun. If you’ve never done it, or even attempted to do it, I just have to say… get to it. Like, now. More specifically, head up to the Smoky Mountains, because there’s so much fun to be had when you choose to CLIMB Works Canopy Zipline. The view from the canopy is absolutely gorgeous, and it’s almost a guarantee that you’ll have the time of your life.
Are you ready to C.L.I.M.B.?
Challenge. Learn. Inspire. Master. Believe.
Being surrounded on three sides by the Smoky Mountain National Park, CLIMB Works Canopy gives you a bird’s eye view of what makes the Smokies so unique. We start off by taking you on a fun four-wheel adventure to the top of the mountain and once you take that first step onto our beautifully constructed tour your feet won’t touch the ground for the next 2 1/2 hours.
Ok, so our tour took a little over three hours because we were all laughing so hard and having such a fantastic time! I would not trade this experience for any other experience on the trip to Tennessee. It was fantastic, and I haven’t laughed as hard as I did in that three hours in all of my life!
In this first video shot by Jennifer, I had to remember to pull my feet up, because the first line, I was looking around and completely forgot! Pay attention, because it looks like I’m coming out of nowhere. Oh, wait, I DID some out of nowhere!
Thomas and Sierra had no idea what they were in for that Saturday when they came into work. Sure, they have a really, really fun job, but we kept them laughing, they kept us laughing, and we had so much fun, that even though we were all tired, I didn’t want the tour to end.
Sierra was our sender. Basically, she made sure we were safely secured to the zipline cable before we jumped off the platform and went zipping down the cable.
Thomas was our receiver. Pretty much… he caught us (eh hem.. me) if we didn’t slow down by the time we got to the runway!
Both of these guides were excellent at their jobs, and they were so witty and fun. I wanted to take them home with me. Then, we found out that Sierra had never heard of She-Ra, and of course, we could not let her live that down!
I, once again, wore my Goonies t-shirt! Totally fitting for ziplining, right? Thomas told me to hold off on my “Hey you guys!” yell, until one particular line. Jennifer from Momma D and Da Boyz grabbed another video, but sadly you can’t really hear me yelling it in the video unless you know exactly when I said it (although I was loud!). What you can hear, though, it Thomas telling them to listen for the Goonies! Haha!
I am so glad that I was able to experience the challenge of CLIMB Works!
