I am SO not a fan of morning routines.

morning routineDread sets in, for me, right about the time I roll over and notice that it’s after 4 am.  Although I don’t actually get up to get the boys ready for school until 6:20 am, I lay there wishing for the day when they can get up and get dressed by themselves!

This is me… every morning. –>

Kylie gets up and gets dressed and out the door on her own, so that’s great, but neither of the boys usually want to wake up.

It doesn’t matter if clothes are already laid out for them, because they almost ALWAYS have a problem with what is laid out, even if they’re the ones that picked it out.

MATCHING SOCKS ARE HORRIBLE CREATURES TO WRANGLE.

Not only do I have a hard time getting clothes together for them, but I absolutely dread getting their lunches made, planners/agendas signed, hair and teeth brushed… oh, and breakfast!!!  Grr..

ALL of this would be so much easier if the baby would sleep through all of it, but because he’s pretty much up if I’m up, we go through all of this together (he doesn’t really care to be put down when he first wakes up!).

Why don’t I do this at night, you ask?  Because if I did it all at night, then I would dread the NIGHT routine!  I may as well only dread one of them!

My saving grace is being able to chat with my neighbors for a good 30 minutes or so every morning!  I love my neighborhood girls!

How do you make your morning routine easier?  Do you love it?  Do you hate it?
