Teen Quote – I can’t wait til I’m 18…

We finally caught up on the last few episodes of Duck Dynasty last night, and Si had me cracking up with his instructional golf video that he wanted to put on You Toot. Check out the video!
Working from home can be the perfect solution when you have kids. We all need to bring in an income. But when you have little ones (or even bigger ones), it can be too impractical to commute out to a full-time job. More and more Moms are finding it can be a lot of fun…
I have a musical confession to make. I have exactly 27 songs on this computer. Most people listen to Pandora or Spotify or Last.fm, etc., but our internet connection out here in the middle of nowhere is so spotty, it’s really hard for me to stream music. Remember when we were in middle school and high school? I know, for some of us that was so long ago, but if you’re like me, you used an origami fortune teller to decide everything from who you would invite to spend the night on Friday night to which boy you really liked the most….
Kylie attended her first dance last weekend. Since she’s not allowed to date until she’s 16, we allowed her to go with one of her friends from church. We (my mom, his mom, and I) took them to eat before the dance, and we dropped them off. When it was over, we all went and…

If only they knew they would still be doing the dishes!! lol
HAHA! I wish this was true!
I saw you post this on FB and it definitely made me laugh. I can’t wait to see who is doing them when she is 18.
HAHA. that is priceless. Oh, they will learn the hard way won’t they
lol If only I could travel back in time to my (much)
younger self who ALSO said this, and show her/me just how
many dishes were in her future ;P
*sigh* To be 18 again …. 🙂
Ahahahahahahahahaha! How little do they know!
My kids have never said this because they know that once they do move out they will not only be doing the dishes but laundry, vacuming, dusting, paying bills and everything else that adults who are on their own have to do.
Wouldn’t that be nice if dishes stopped at age 18 for real?
Not only they will still be doing dishes, but they have a lot other things to worry about (i.e. bills), lol. 🙂
Love!
So funny! And what a rude awakening it is to 18+ year-olds when they realize the reality of becoming an adult.
I remember thinking the same thing and telling my mom I would just buy paper plates and cups so I wouldn’t have to. 😉
How come that didn’t happen when I turned 18?
HAHA! That’s hilarious!
