Green Works Cleaners Review | Natural Cleaning Products including Compostable Wipes!

Before we bought this house, we chatted with the previous owners about all of the upgrades they had done to the house as well as what to expect when we moved in. The floors look like wood, however, they are made of PVC.  The bath, shower, and all toilets were replaced with a high end brand, and I was told that I could only use certain cleaners on them. I was extremely happy to notice that Green Works Cleaning Products were on the list as approved cleaners for everything in my house. I have been using Green Works All-Purpose Cleaner,…

If you need Lego Star Wars III: The Clone Wars cheat codes… My boys have you covered! #geek

My kids love playing the Xbox.  Even more so than playing, they love going on youTube and checking out tutorials to help them throughout the game.  (One day, I'm actually going to record them doing a "video"!  They like to sit and pretend they are making a walk-through video!) They even find an occasional cheat code here and ok, I say  Right now, their two favorite games are Minecraft and Lego Star Wars III: The Clone Wars. I love watching them play Minecraft, because they get so creative with building and digging!!  (I'm not coordinated enough to play!)

Affordable Family Vacations – Mississippi Gulf Coast | #travel

What is the first thing that comes to your mind when you think about summer vacations?  For most families who live on the coast, it's hitting the beach and soaking up the sun in the warm sand!  For me, it's the cost!  Vacations can get pricey, but they don't have to if you do your research! As a Texan, I usually think about Galveston or South Padre as great places to visit, and oftentimes, my mind even wanders to Florida.  I never really think about Mississippi as a beach attraction, because my family is Kosciusko, which is centrally located within…

Carex Health Brands – Bed Buddy®: Plush ThermaTherapy® Set Review | #health #doula

My doula bag just got a little heavier!  It has received a velvety plush, all natural, upgrade thanks to Carex Health Brands. This is great new to my clients, because I am now the proud owner of some fantastic products that will not only help them during labor, but products that they are going to want to use for postpartum and beyond! When I went to Brandcation in May, one of the products I came home with was from Carex Health Brands .  I knew I would have a love affair with this company, because many of the items they offer…

The Tale of an Exhausting Diaper Change – *gross warning* | #clothdiapers #parenting #fail

This morning was an absolute mess! I was getting a little work done when Jett woke up.  I always like to try to nurse him for a few minutes and play with him to get his little "good mood" juices flowing before I change him out of his nighttime diaper. Normally,  he waits until mid morning or later to poop, but twice this week, he's pooped before I was able to change him out of his nighttime diaper.  No biggie, right?  Ha. Breastfed poop is more runny than other poop, so it's like he has diarrhea all the time (except he doesn't),…

Do you breastfeed in public? | #breastfeeding #nip (as in Nurse in Public)

I am pro breastfeeding. I am pro breastfeeding in public. I've always been cool with anyone breastfeeding in public, and I used to have little cards with the Texas law on them that I'd hand out to women I'd see nursing in public, just in case they ever get into a situation where they're asked to stop or leave a public area. Something I've probably mentioned before is that I've even breastfed my babies at Astros games with 40,000 people around and no one had a clue. In Texas, you're allowed to nurse your baby anywhere you're allowed to be…

“Have you posted about the new house yet?” – Blank Stare.

We've not even been in our new home two full weeks AND we just had the internet activated yesterday, and guess what Andy asks me when he walks in the door yesterday?  "Have you posted about the new house yet?" Well no, dear, I haven't. (Sorry, John.) As excited as I am about this house, I've not only been without internet, fumbling over not-yet-unpacked stuff, trying to keep things out of Jett's mouth, and dealing with the boys fighting over which game they want to play while it's been raining all week (on top of cooking 3 meals a day,…
