Wow! I didn’t know there were so many cloth diaper detergents!

There are tons of Cloth Diaper Detergents! So I'm surfing through Amazon for something relevant.  I don't know what - maybe I'm just in procrastination mode - not sure. I decided to see if Rockin' Green Cloth Diaper Detergents was sold on Amazon (of course it is!), and after I got my answer, I justdecided to search Cloth Diaper Detergent. WOW! To my surprise, there were TONS of matches to my search!  I mean, don't get me wrong, I knew that there were a lot, but having them all listed in one place was a little on the overwhelming side.…

TABASCO® Original Red: Spice your Super Bowl Pizza Slice

This post brought to you by TABASCO® Original Red. All opinions are 100% mine. Now that the holidays are over, it's time to kick the traditional foods to the curb for a while and spice up our dinner tables. Who said that eating healthy had to be bland and boring.  Not me!  We've all spiced up our eggs or black eyed peas with TABASCO® Original Red from in the past.   But have you really stepped outside of the box and went on the hunt for ways to bring the tangy spicy goodness to your table? It's so much more than…

Bunk: Make $5500 a month. No Skills Required

PREFACE:  I know that this article is a scam!  This is from an abstract perspective! I ran across an article, today, entitled: Google Now Hiring People To Work From Home Kit Apparently, basically anyone, these days, can make a pretty good paycheck without even stepping out of their house. What you need: A Computer, an Internet Connection and the desire to make a living working from home. No special skills are required other than knowing how to use a computer and navigate the internet. Everyone knows how to use a computer these days!  So when I saw this From her…

Found a Houston Auto Repair Shop with Repair Pal – Find One Near You!

Although we've lived in the Houston area for a while, the one thing we've not really found is a Houston auto repair shop that 100% fits our needs.  I recently found a great site that takes the guess work out of finding an auto repair shop in the Houston area. Do you need your timing belt replaced on your Ford Expedition?  Or maybe you need someone to check and see if your water pump is on the fritz? With the hustle and bustle of daily life, the last thing I want to do is fumble through the yellow pages or search engines…

Cute Homeschool Math Story – greater than and less than

Yesterday, Brax and I were working on his homeschool Math work of "greater than an less than". We talked about the different words for "greater" and "less".  We wrote down a few: > -- greater -- bigger -- larger -- more < -- less -- smaller -- fewer -- "not as many" After a few minutes of not getting it, he finally clicked and OOOOOOOOOOHHH!!!  So I would rather eat 99 cookies than 53 cookies, because 99 cookies is WAY more! So he wrote on his 99 > 53 Proud homeschooling mama, I am.

Healthy Popcorn Recipe! Great for a snack!

This is a great, healthy snack for your entire family! I've been told that corn has absolutely no nutritional value and that if you're trying to live healthy, you should 86 it from your diet.  Well, I digress. My kids and I love corn, and we can't live without popcorn.  Now, microwave popcorn isn't good for you at all, but here's an easy recipe (under 5 minutes) that you and your kiddos can make and snack on! Healthy Popcorn Recipe 5 Tbsp  olive oil, or coconut oil (if canola oil is all you have, it will work as well) 1/2 cup popcorn…

Texas youth sports, baseball and soccer, are expensive!

You know, I can't even imagine how much it would cost to have a girly girl who wants to do dance and gymnastic and ballet and all that jazz. Seriously, youth sports in Texas are expensive. Kylie's Soccer: $85 plus ball and shin guards (thankfully we have those!) Braxton's Baseball: $105 plus glove, bat, and ball (thank you Nana for those Christmas gifts!) Hawk's Baseball:  $105 plus glove, bat, and ball (thank you Braxton for growing out of yours!) On top of that, Kylie's soccer team will need a sponsor.  It's getting harder and harder to find sponsors for these…
