A Day of Errors! It can only get better, right?

I think the worst part of being a blogger has to be days like today!  As you probably noticed (I hope you noticed!), my site was down from about 2 this morning until about 2:45 this afternoon.  That's a LONG time for downtime, especially when they told my husband, end the end, that it wasn't even a server issue. RIGHT when my site came back up, the Xbox decided to do this. For those of you who don't know what this red light From Xbox Support: If you see error code E68 on your screen and one light flashes red…

Fisher-Price See ‘n Say Talking Game Review | #Giveaway (11/30)

Do you remember the old toys (like Sheriff Woody) that you pull the string, and they speak?  Did you know that the See 'n Say, introduced in 1965, was actually the first talking toy that allowed children to choose the exact phrase they wanted to hear?  All you had to do was move the pointer to whatever animal or thing you wanted to hear, and put the string. More recently due to safety and durability concerns (I'm assuming), the new See 'n Say toys have a build in lever that you pull, but it has the same concept. TCG Toys…

Dear Person Who Cleaned My Kitchen Last Night | #resignation

Dear Person Who Cleaned My Kitchen Last Night, I'm not exactly sure who attempted the clean the kitchen as I put the baby to bed early last night, I just want to say thank you for your help. I appreciate the fact that some dishes (especially baking dishes) need to be soaked before cleaning.  I noticed two of them soaking in the sink this morning. Thank you for helping in that way.  I went ahead and washed them, and the baked on food came right off! I also went ahead and looked around the rest of the kitchen and decided…

Fisher-Price Chatter Phone Talking Game Review | #Giveaway (11/30)

Did you know that the original Fisher-Price Chatter Telephone has been the first telephone for more than 26 million people since 1962.  According to Fisher-Price fun facts, the Chatter Telephone is one of the only “telephones” on the market that still has a rotary dial!    I love the classic Chatter Telephones, and one of my favorite characters in Toy Story 3 is Chatter.  Poor guy can't speak unless you hold his receiver up to your ear!  I can't remember if I had one of these at home while I was growing up, but I do remember my childhood daycare having…

He is NOT my favorite person right now. | #duckdynasty

Well, for a couple of months, Andy was the perfect husband.   He was growing out his beard all nice and ....and sexy. Then, two days ago, I noticed he was running the water for a LOT longer than normal, and I woke up to   Smug grin and all.  I think Jase has the perfect message for him. Of course the boys didn't really notice.  Braxton asked, "Did you get a hair cut?" Andy "It was starting to hurt."  What kind of yuppie excuse is that? Just for that, I think he needs this for Christmas.

Tips for a Frugal and Fun Wedding Day | #wedding #frugal

When Andy and I got married, we were both young and right out of college, so we did what we could to have a very small and inexpensive wedding, luckily he found sapphire engagement rings Sydney as these were beautiful and affordable. We got married on a very hot afternoon in August at my parents' house out in the country.  My dad put up canopies so that our guests would at least have some shade. Of course, like most brides, I thought of my dress first, but because there wasn't a whole lot of online shopping back then, my mom…

The time my dad tried to be Clark Griswold! | #christmas #memories

I really wish I had pictures.  When Andy and I first got married, we were just beginning to move into the digital era, and most pictures that we took were still on 35mm cameras. One year, my dad decided that he wanted to do Christmas light Clark Griswold style.  His goal was for satellites to see his property from space.  Seriously.  Of course, now, he probably wishes he would have had LED Christmas lights to keep his bill down. My parents had a pretty large house with a wrap around porch, and most people put icicle lights on the front…
