LeapFrog Read with me Scout Review #readwithmescout

Jett loves music.  He loves to sing along (in his Minion language) and dance to pretty much any song he hears.  One of his favorite kids songs is Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star.  This is the first song he's actually started singing (as close as he can) real words to, so when we opened up his brand new LeapFrog Read with me Scout, he was so excited when the first button he pushed started playing Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star. LeapFrog Read with me Scout comes with the cute plush green dog that your little one loves, plus five board books, and…

Rainbow Brite Romeo Sprite Cloth Diaper | #tbt #clothdiapers

Remember this cute little guy? I bought this diaper, not too long ago, at a local cloth diaper buy/sell/trade day.  My friend had it on her table, and I was eyeballing it hoping no one would snag it before I could get it!  Talk about throwback!  This diaper is from Made With Love Cloth Diapers. I used to LOVE watching Rainbow Brite when I was little.  My favorites were Patty O'Green and Lucky Sprite, because they were the ones that were in charge of the color green (same reason that my favorite Care Bear was Good Luck Bear)!  I wish…

VeggieTales Merry Larry and the True Lights of Christmas

Have you seen  VeggieTales Merry Larry and the True Lights of Christmas?  We love it, not only because it's Veggie Tales, but this new release features some pretty awesome folks including Owl City, TobyMac and none other than UNCLE SI ROBERTSON!!! I think it's awfully fitting that Uncle Si and okra janitor.  You don't get much more southern than okra!  They have made his okra character look pretty much exactly what you'd think Si would look like if he were an okra! There are so many awesome elements surrounding this movie.  It's not just about Si and the other awesome…

Duracell Quantum Batteries and Heroes – Grab a tissue! | #MC #sponsored

Disclosure:  I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting (#MC) for Duracell. I received product samples to facilitate my review and a promotional item as a thank you for participating. When you think of batteries, what is the first thing that comes to mind?  TV remote.  Xbox controllers.  Clock.  Flashlight.  These are some of the things that would have come to my mind prior to learning about Duracell Quantum Heroes. We use batteries in this house like there's no tomorrow, and I'm pretty sure if your family is similar to mine, you do as well. Today, and…

Are our families being singled out by the police? | #safety #kids

When we moved into this neighborhood, we were so happy to find out that we actually have fantastic neighbors as well as kiddos in the same age groups as ours.  Aside from the fact that there were a couple of teenage boys who are across the street, we couldn't be happier. Of course, in getting to know the neighbors, we love that the teenage boys are actually great kids, and they play with our boys and one will do anything to protect our teenage daughter.  I love that. LOVE that. Our street has very little traffic outside of the people…

You’ll never guess what my son say I’m the best at! | #kids #humor

The other night, we were sitting around the table, and the boys were going through the nicknames we've given everyone in the family. Although on the blog, she's "The Teen" Andy has always given her the name Weirdo, so the boys proceeded to go through everyone: The Weirdo The Gamer The Entertainer The Screamer or The Minion The MoneyMaker The Recorder (because I take pics and write about everything) So then, the The Entertainer decided to keep going with it. Kylie's the best singer. Braxton's the best at playing games. Dad's the best tooter. Mom's the He had to stop…

Does it really save money to rent LEGO Sets? | #lego #legos

So I just got an email with an offer for this site that is basically a Netflix-like LEGO service. It's called Pleygo. You choose a plan, pay their price, choose your sets, and they ship you the LEGOs.  You play with them as long as you want, put them back in a ziplock bag that they send you, throw it into the pre-labeled return shipping box, and start all over. Good idea, right?   Wait, what?  Sure, your house is decluttered, but are you really saving money? FAN - Get small/medium sets - $15/month, free shipping SUPERFAN - Get small/medium/large sets…
