8 Household Uses for Lemons | #natural #lemons #diy
If you remember, not too long ago, I did a blog post on how to store fresh lemon juice. It seems as if there is an abundance of lemons in the Houston area, and I have squeezed, strained, and frozen every lemon I can get my hands on! Why? Lemons are fantastic little fruits. From medicinal to cleansing, there are many fantastic household uses for lemons! Aside from lightening our hair like we all did when we were younger, lemon juice can be handy to have in your cupboard or freezer. When life gives you making lemonade is only one…
5/6 of us are sick!
The whole family is, or has been, sick. Kylie was sick all last week. Jett's been off and on sick, coughy, and nose runny. Yesterday morning, Hawk sprouted a fever. Yesterday afternoon, I sprouted a fever. Last night, Andy sprouted a fever. Braxton is the only one still hanging on. Whatever we have going around doesn't care about preventative vitamins or our schedules or anything else. It just took us by storm! If you're wondering why I don't have much new content, that's why. Now, I need to get up and start laundry, breakfast, and sweep the floor. Life must…
Teen down. Teen down.
This weekend, Kylie went the Hot Hearts Youth Conference in Beaumont where she was surrounded by about 7,400 other kiddos, and they had an absolute blast! This week, it's a different story. Sunday night, she started running a low grade fever. The youth were leading the Sunday night service at church, so my mom took her up there so the could get up and speak about conference. Apparently, they are housed in various churches, and a few of the leaders told us that they had the A/C set to around 45 degrees (who does that!?), so the kids were freezing…

This is my teen’s idea of a clean kitchen. | #teenagers #teens #fail
Last week, Kylie had an off-the-wall project due in Language arts. They were reading the book Tom Sawyer, and the teacher gave them a few projects from which to choose. I can't remember what all of them were, but the only two that Kylie talked about (because she's a cooking freak!) were 1) making jam, and 2) making donuts. The jam, I get. The donuts, I don't. However, she chose donuts. She found a recipe she liked, tried it out a few days before, and they were pretty good. So last Wednesday, she made 24 donuts and 24 donut holes.…

These are the coolest inserts/lay-ins ever! #clothdiapers
Preface: I don't normally do reviews for products that were purchased used or for shops that seem to no longer be in business, but the concept of these inserts/lay-ins are too cool not to talk about! Hopefully, you can still order some through her Facebook page. This is a personal review - no one asked me to write it! Not too long ago, I purchased a few tye-dyed prefolds from a friend on our local cloth diapering group. Along with those prefolds, I also snagged a few of these strange maxi pad looking things called Glad Rags by Punk Rock…
Weekly Weightloss Update | #Weightloss #Fitness
I'll have to admit, this week has been a struggle! I feel like I haven't really started much, even though I know I have, for a couple of reasons. AKA, read excuses below. The first one, we lost our scale in the move. I haven't had a chance to get out and find one that I like, and I'm turning up nothing on my favorite deals sites. This weekend, I plan to get a scale. For the past couple of weeks, I've been running over to my mom's house and weighing in, but when I was there yesterday, I forgot…
