Not-so-Cool Product of the Day | Bababib Baby Feeding Aid

Have you seen this product?  I really can't say that I have anything nice or productive to say about the Bababib feeding aid!    Some of these, I can see needing a little help, but reading a story? In a swing? In the stroller?  hold your baby, and bond, maybe? I can just imagine a lot of choking, air in tummies, laziness, and less and less bond with baby when I think about this Bababib thing. Try using a sling or a baby carrier, or step back from what you're doing for the 10 minutes it takes to feed your…

Would you pull this stunt? Ha! I know I would! | 3am Feedings Video

Check out this hilarious video!  Even though I exclusively breastfeed at night and don't have to worry about the bottles, I can totally appreciate this video for the times that I just didn't want to wake up to do ANYTHING in the middle of the night! I can't actually see Andy doing this, but I'll tell you don't put it past a tired mama to try to pull one over on dear old dad!  I know if I thought it would get me and extra hour or two of sleep, I would DEFINITELY pull this stunt!  Go Dad! I know…

We’ve finally settled on a name for the new baby!

The time has come for the big announcement!  We've finally decided on a name for the new baby.  We've gone back and forth trying to decide whether we'd like to name the baby after our favorite baseball players, our grandmothers, our mothers, grandfathers, favorite actors or actresses, or just names we've heard around the block. We've check out blogs, baby books, Facebook friend's lists, Twitter followers, Google+ Circles, Stumbled posts, and even Spotify playlists.  We've debated on Star Wars characters, Hogwart professors, and even archaeologists and screamers from Indiana Jones.  We've thought about hippie names, more bird names, practical names, and names…

Quick Sew Flap Wrap (QSFW) Cloth Diaper Pattern and Tutorial

After receiving this cloth diaper in a donation package a while back, I was perplexed!  I had no idea what this was called or how to explain to someone how to use it! After a shout out on Facebook, and SEVERAL responses later, I found out that the proper name for this diaper is a QSFW Diaper, or Quick Sew Flap Wrap or Quick Snap Flap Wrap, depending on how you make it. (I kinda like my name of quick flap wrapity zap!) I decided that I wanted to make some for the new baby,  so I went in search…

How to Sew a Pocket Cloth Diaper – Video Sewing Tutorial

I've recently joined a semi-local "crunchy" group for the Houston, Texas area, and one of my new friends in the group shared the tutorial she did for making the Rita's Rump Pocket Cloth Diaper!  Although she lives in Tampa, Florida, Shannon from Green Mommy Diapers has an awesome cloth diapering website with fantastic ideas!  She also offers diaper sewing lessons in Tampa, Florida. She did a fantastic job, and I wanted to share! One thing I would love for you to note is how  is very frugal Shannon is with her fabric. Because moisture wicking fabrics such as polyester fleece and suede can…
