AdvoCare 24 Day Challenge Days 1-3 Explained #AdvoCare

Andy and I are starting the AdvoCare 24 Day Challenge again today!  We like the challenge. This is our third time!! It gives us the tools we need to get the right amount of foods and nutrients each day, it helps us lose weight, and it also makes us spend way less money on groceries. The cost, up front is $190 plus tax and shipping retail, but if you become and AdvoCare Distributor, you get a 20% discount/commission right off the bat.  If you work hard and become an Advocare Advisor (sell $3000 retail in a 6 week period), you…

2 Free “The Voice” Downloads from CLEAR SCALP & HAIR THERAPY™

Disclosure:  I participated in a campaign on behalf of Global Influence for Rite Aid and CLEAR SCALP & HAIR THERAPY™ . I was compensated for this post. If I were to go to our recorded shows on our DVR right now, I would probably find that one of the most recorded shows on there is The Voice.  The Teenager is obsessed with following the show, and of course Adam Levine.  It's kind of neat watching how much he's grown with the show.  Aside from the little man-crush thing he and Blake have going on, he's really learned how to banter…

Which is which? The tale of a dishwashing saga.

The Teenager actually has very few chores in our home.  Basically, they boil down to keeping her room clean, keeping her bathroom clean, and cleaning the kitchen after the meals (minus unloading the dishwasher which is the boys' job). Last week, we ran out of Cascade Actionpacs with Gain, which we love.  After being married for just about 13 years, we've finally found the dishwasher pod things we like. We really can't find anything natural that doesn't leave a hazy film on our dishes combined with our water. These work well, and because you've gotta do what you've gotta do,…

Fully Customizable Baby Shower Invitations and Announcements

As a labor doula and an influential leader in the natural parenting community, I receive quite a few baby shower invitations and birth announcements from clients, friends and community members each year.  It's always so neat to receive creative and fun invitations.  In hindsight, I wish I would have known about websites that allow you to personalize and design cards and invitations. When The Teenager was born (15 years ago! ahhhh!!), I had a friend who was pregnant at the same time.  We both had small baby showers, however I was the one who organized her shower.  We were in…

Simple Blueberry Smoothie Recipe (sweetened with fig sugar!)

One of the worst ever, yet common, misconceptions about losing weight is that food has to be bland and boring!  I have a sweet tooth.  I'm one of those people who feel like I have to have something sweet at least once a day.  Sweet and healthy is a plus, and simple, sweet, and healthy is a MUST!  Check out my simple blueberry smoothie recipe! Simple Blueberry Smoothie Recipe 1/2 cup Greek Yogurt 1/4 cup of frozen (or fresh) blueberries 1 tsp of honey or fig sugar (ha, got you on that one?!) Throw everything in your Ninja Master Prep…

Heavenly FroYo has expanded their menu options!

So if you live in Mont Belvieu, chances are you've heard of or at least driven by (several times a week) this awesome little shop called Heavenly Froyo.  This is one of my favorite places to stop in and say "hi" when I'm out an about in town. What you may not know is that this year, Froyo has changed ownership, and the new owner, Jay is making strides to bring the Eagles everything they want in a local hangout!  Their motto of "Dream it!  Create it!  Enjoy it!" still applies to just about anything they serve! 10403 Eagle Drive,…

Fig Salsa Recipe | Chunky or Regular Variations

I've been blessed with friends who have allowed me to come and pick their figs from their trees, so I'm trying different recipes!  I have had several people ask for the recipe for my fig salsa, so I thought I'd go ahead and put it on my site! Truth be told, I almost never follow a recipe.  For some reason, it's bloggy taboo to not put a precise recipe.  My thing is, if I see things that seem like they go I put them together.  My measurements are usually by what I need for my family at the time.  But,…

Direct Sales – Find the right company for YOU!

So several years ago, pre-Jett, I tried my hand at direct sales.  I actually did pretty well for a while.  I ended up having a good downline, and I even advanced really quickly a couple of levels.  Then, I moved, and shortly after, I found out I was pregnant with Jett, and life just got in the way.  I ended up having to quit, because I was way too far from my upline, and I changed territories.  Not to mention the fact that I turned to full time blogging. here we are.  Four years later, and I'm trying to my…

Star Wars Glowing Lightsaber Ice Pop Maker | #starwars

It's summertime, and everyone is looking for something to keep their kiddos entertained and cool at the same time.  This Star Wars Glowing Lightsaber Ice Pop Maker just might be the if it weren't for the price tag.  I always love running across stuff like this!  My boys would absolutely love these.  I know it's reusable, but I know my boys.  They will loose these after the first or second use, and that will be a lot of money down the drain.  They do have LED lights in them so that they will light up like lightsabers, though, so that's…
