Monchhichi wearing Cloth Diapers | Zulily #retro #80s #clothdiapers

These guys are so adorable!  I remember them from my childhood, and now, when my kids have hair that's out of control, I call them little Monchhichis! Check this out, though, these little guys are wearing CLOTH DIAPERS!  These are only $ ($25 original and on Amazon).   Previous Post Content Do you remember these strange looking toys?  Several of my friends, my age, haven't ever heard the name or seen the dolls before, and I think it's absolutely bizarre! I can't be the only person who remembers the Monchhichi dolls!  I had several, and from time to time, when…

Our walls are crying and bleeding. Do we have a ghost? #paranormal

Yesterday was one of those days that you just end with wanting a do-over! Our bathroom is strange.  When you walk in, to the right is the LARGE his/hers shower (no tub - yeah, odd), and on the wall that the door is on, is a set of light switches.  There are 4 of them.  I'm not really sure what all of them are for . I could probably go check really quickly, but I'm not going to.  We'll say one is for the "fart fan" as my dad calls it (I hate that word), one is for a heater…

What’s in your Diaper Bag? | Join the Blog Hop! #babies #clothdiapers #bloghop

Wow, up front, I'd like to apologize to the nursery workers at our church for the overabundance of stuff in Jett's diaper bag!  I JUST posted on about the Simple Etiquette of Daycare or Nursery Cloth Diapering.  I guess I never really paid attention to the actual diaper bag! I was looking for a specific diaper, and the more I found in the bag, the more I realized that whomever gets a diaper and wipe out of this bag knows pretty much everything there is to know about me!  It's actually little embarrassing!!! Looks pretty normal from this angle, right? What…

Pigeon Forge Attractions | #Brandcation #PigeonForge

I can't believe, that in less than TWO MONTHS, I'll be headed to yet another Brandcation! I'm so excited, I can hardly contain myself. We've had a really long summer with moving - twice, finding our place in this town, setting the kids up for activities and involvement, and gearing up to go back to their new school (we moved here with 2 weeks left in the school year last year, so they at least got to meet some friends!). I need this Brandcation.  I NEED to see my friends again. I need a 16 hour (one way) road trip like…

5 Things you’re going to learn about me… even if you don’t want to!

Inspired by Trisha, over at MomDot, I decided to walk through my house and take pics of my dirty little secrets! 5. I collect Dreamsicles.  Yes, I know that their creator, Kristin Haynes made millions off of these little heavenly cherubs and then not so angelically fled the country for tax evasion, but that's not the fault of these little guys! 4.  I'm pretty lazy.  These table cloths (actually curtains posing as table cloths) were used in an event I hosted last night.  I folded them up and put them there last night.  They'll probably be on the floor by tonight, and…

Country Tonite – Best Show of the Year! | #brandcation #pigeonforge

I love it when I tell people that I am going to Tennessee in October!  I get a lot of "Oh, you need to go here." and "Make sure you stop by there!" type of suggestions.  It's so neat to see people so excited about the places they've been. One of the places that has come up quite often is Country Tonite in Pigeon Forge.  I hear that they have an awesome show, and it's one of those "must see" and "must visit" kind of places. Country Tonite Theatre in Tennessee is the best value in Pigeon Forge entertainment! Experience…

Cheering on a local Olympian! | Team Cammile! #Olympics #TeamUSA #Houston

Houston, we have another favorite to follow in the 2012 Olympics! Cammile Adams, daughter of a local real estate agent, Lisa Adams, who happens to work with my hubby at Martha Turner Properties, will be swimming the 200 meter fly semi-finals Tuesday, 31 July 2012 19:57.  The Adams family is from Cypress. Eeek!  How exciting!!! (Pictured with her father, Eddie Adams.) Andy said that Lisa told them that when she wins a medal, she'll bring it up to work to let everyone try it on!  How fun!! Cammile's twin sister, Ashley, is also a swimmer and did not make it to the…

Nana’s Easy Lemon Cream Cheese Pie Recipe | National Cheesecake Day

Today (7/30/12) is National Cheesecake Day! Andy's family doesn't call them cheesecakes, though  They call them cream cheese pie, and Andy prefers his with a hint of lemon in the actual pie and no toppings.  (Of course I don't have a picture of it, so I borrowed one from where you can find another simple cheesecake recipe.) It goes a little something like this: Nana's Easy Lemon Cream Cheese Pie 8 ounce cream cheese 1/2 cup sugar lemon juice to taste graham cracker crust Whip the cream cheese, sugar, and lemon juice together until smooth and creamy.  Add to the…

Paula and I would be great additions to the Hollywood Wax Museum! | #brandcation #pigeonforge

"Dr. Jones!  NO MORE PARACHUTES!" Yes, that's what we hear around our house when we're waiting for someone to arrive.  It's our boys' code for "THEY'RE HERE!"  Why, I don't know. They're just geeks like that! My boys are going to FLIP OUT when I come back from Brandcation in October with pictures of myself with Indiana Jones! I won't even have to tell them that it was actually a wax statue from the Hollywood Wax Museum in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. They're probably go nuts after I tell them that they're going to get to have their picture taken with…
