Cloth Diaper Memory Lane – What cloth diapers did you use?

When Hawk was still in cloth diapers all day, I had transformed his pack-n-play into a changing station FULL of cloth diapers! I would make sure, that when I would have people over, or I would take pictures, that all of my favorite cloth diapers were on top so that they could be seen.  Yes, I wanted to show them off!  What a better way to get people to ask about, and interested in, cloth diapers, than to show off the REALLY cute ones! In this picture, he's wearing a Jolly Bums (so is the bright yellow/green one).  Sadly, they're…

Exchange unwanted gifts locally for useful, practical cloth diapering items!

Did your kiddos (or you) receive any unwanted gifts for Christmas this year? There's no point in exchanging them for other unNEEDED gifts, so take your Christmas exchanges to the next level this year, and swap them out for practical, useful, cloth diapering items! It's a myth that you can't find cloth diapering products locally, even if you live in an area where there is not a natural parenting or cloth diapering store.  You have to think outside of the box!  The name of the game is stretching your buck by searching out sales! Do you cloth diaper your baby?…

My fleece diaper covers leak! What do I do?

The following question has come up several times lately:  My fleece diaper covers leak!  What do I do? Remember, when using fleece covers, it's not 100% waterproof, just like with wool (and even pul - polyurethane laminate -  if you don't change often enough). It's not that it leaks, it just compression wicks, which means that when it touches something, (compression), and the diaper is full of moisture, that's got to escape   Try adding doubler and changing just a tad more often!  This should help with compression wicking, or compression moisture. Also, if you're making your own, try doubling…

Our Night Time Cloth Diapering Solution – Antsy Pants

Hawk in his Antsy Pants cloth diaper for bedtime! Wake up sleepy head! **This is an old post.  Neither of my boys are in diapers at night anymore, but we will definitely be using their Antsy Pants when Jett grows into them! Both of my boys are still in diapers at night.  Hawk (3) and Braxton(6) are practically the same size when it comes to diapers, however they are shaped very differently.  The awesome thing about the Antsy Pants cloth diapers is that they basically fit any body type.  The hip/waist elastic and side snapping makes them an adjustable…

Tropical Traditions Oxygen Bleach Review and #Giveaway

Being one of the head haunchos for a nonprofit organization is a wonderfully fulfilling duty. I am the Operations Manager of a small public charity that does not get much recognition outside of our own fast growing community of a specific genre, however, the work we do has been known to not only help families - but change their lives. That said, there is, at times, a dirty side to this job! Yep, I'm in the business of cloth diapers - The Cloth Diaper Foundation. Before you yes, the diapers that we are donated are mostly used, but when they…
